Sea salad

Equipment

  • 1 big pot (for cleaning seaweeds)
  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Blender or food processor

Ingredients

  • 20 gram Sea rocket
  • 5 gram Rock samphire leaves
  • 7 gram Rock samphire seeds
  • 40 gram Sea lettuce
  • 110 gram Bladder wrack
  • oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp seasame seeds

Dressing

  • Mix all dressing ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend into a smooth paste.

Salad

  • Put bladder wrack in a big pot with water and wash it thoroughly.
  • Put sea lettuce in a big pot with water and wash it thoroughly. Squeeze the water out. Cut it into smaller pieces.
  • Wash and finely chop the sea rocket.
  • Wash rock samphire and blanch its leaves in a saucepan for 2 minutes.
  • Chop bladder wrack and heat a frying pan with some oil.
  • Fry bladder wrack until it turns green. Be cearful because its bladders filled with air can pop out from the pan. You can use a lid.
  • Mix all salad ingridients in a bowl.
  • Add dressing to the salad and sprinkle over the seasame seeds. It pairs well with a piece of fish.

Notes

You can put seaweeds in a pot with water overnight to let any sand sink to the bottom of the pot. 
We used our Fermented Pullball paste from this recipe https://chefofnature.com/?p=1096 but you can replace it with miso.
